Population Health

Population health is an approach to health that aims to improve the health of the entire population and reduce the health inequities that impact specific groups.

In order to reach these objectives, it considers and acts upon a broad range of social, policy, legal, economic, and physical environmental factors and conditions that the influence health and well-being of specific groups and communities.

As with any discipline,  gathering information and knowledge is essential to understand complex issues and identify solutions. That’s the intent of the materials in this section.
